Mihail Ion is a member of the bank’s executive management team, serving as Vice President and a member of Raiffeisen Bank Romania’s Management Board. Since 2025, he has led the Retail Division and is responsible for its strategic and operational direction. Previously, he headed the Capital Markets, Investment Banking and Personal Financial Planning Division.

Mihail Ion joined Raiffeisen Bank in February 2002 as Research Department Manager within the Treasury and Capital Markets Division. In 2005, he was appointed President and CEO of Raiffeisen Asset Management, a role he held for 10 years. He returned to the bank in 2015 as Executive Director in the Corporate Division, where he oversaw the mid-sized corporate and public sector segments. In 2017, he was appointed Vice President and CFO of Raiffeisen Bank.
